The Winnipegosis & District Health Centre, situated in Winnipegosis, Manitoba provides health-related services to the communities of Winnipegosis, Camperville, Duck Bay, Pine River, Ethelbert, Waterhen, and Rorketon; to the RM’s of Mossey River, Ethelbert, Mountain South and Lawrence, as well as to the Native Communities of Pine Creek and Waterhen. These services are provided under contract with the Parkland Regional Health Authority. The Facility was established by the Sisters of the Order of St. Benedict and, since June 2003, is part of the Catholic Health Network of Manitoba. |
A local volunteer Board operates the Facility.
The Facility is a 14-bed acute care centre with 1 bed Palliative Care Unit, and a 20-bed personal care home.
A Medical Clinic staffed with two physicians,
Community Health Offices with a full-time Continuing Care
Coordinator / Public Health Nurse are found
within the facility. A multitude of other itinerant services and a
Diagnostic Unit staffed with a full-time
technician and a part-time assistant are also available.
