Résidence Despins is a supportive housing and an independent living residential complex situated in the heart of St. Boniface. It is part of the Catholic Health Network.

Its MISSION is to promote a warm and secure living environment that ensures the physical, social, mental and spiritual well being of the residents.

Résidence Despins which is named after Sr. Despins (a Grey Nun) is situated in the former Provincial House of the Grey Nuns.

The fall of 2005 marked the opening of the new fully modern residential complex which can
accommodate more than 90 people in the independent living units and 48 people in the supportive
housing units. The first residents to be welcomed at Résidence Despins were the members of 7 different
religious congregations: the Grey Nuns, the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, the Sisters
of the Saviour, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Ste Hyacinthe, the Ursuline Sisters of Tildonck, the Oblates
of Mary Immaculate and the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions.
